Insubordination in the 21st Century

"Aw, but mom, all the kids at school have third eyes in the backs of their heads!" said little Tommy, class of 2026.

"No son of mine is going around looking like he needs slaying by Jason and the Argonauts and that is FINAL!" cried Melanie Mitsubishi, human mother of ten genetically engineered hybrid dolphin-human children and vice president of the Andromeda Wing of the PTA.

"But mom, you and Dad had genetically engineered body parts when you were my age!" cried little Tommy between whiny dolphin chirps. Herbert, the submissive dolphin provider of male genetic material and father figure to young Tommy and his nine twin brothers, dove to the bottom of the saltwater tank at the edge of the diner table. He blew bubbles from his alcohol inflamed blow-hole and crouched in the corner of the tank... unwilling to take part in this confrontation. Bourbon was his vice and had made him timid.

"Those were different times... in my day the world was a better place. It was a gay wondrous time full of good music and telekinetic induced intoxication." Remembering, a sly smile forced its way onto Melanie's lips. Then she caught a glimpse of her husband at the bottom of his algae filled tank sucking down some processed tuna fish from a can. She regained her composure, stammering, "You will do as I say, not as I do!"

Melanie seized the aerosol salt water sprayer and wet little Tommy down. He'd become dry, hard and rubbery in the excitement.
